THL International Conference which held in Taipei on 08/08/2008.

Participants are doctors and experts from Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippine etc.

CEO of Formosa Cancer Foundation, Chi-Ming Lai, M.D. His research report, “Multiple Molecular Targeting and Eradication of Cancer Stem Cell Responsible for Anticancer Mechanisms of Chinese Herbal Mixture (Tien-Hsien Liquid, THL)” caused considerable concern among the medical community. His institute set up two different technology platforms which are elimination of cancer stem cell and control cancer cell through multiple molecular targeting.

Professor of Graduate Institute of Microbiology, College of Medicine, National Taiwan University; Research fellow of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School U. S. A., Professor Won-Bo Wang. After exposed to Chinese medicine 5 to 6 years, he starts his study on the formation mechanism of tumor viruses. Professor Wang believes that Chinese Herbal Medicine, in particular compound may be an opportunity to make changes in treating cancer. He believed that normal cells need to go through multiple mutations in order to become cancer cells and we can control the cancer cells effectively by suppressing the mutations in the process. “There are many Chinese herbal medicine ingredients which are effective as long as the ingredients are appropriate.”

Director and Professor, Institute of Biomedical Materials and Engineering Director, Stem Cell Research Center Taipei Medical University; General Secretary, Taiwanese Society for Molecular Imaging (TSMI), Win-Ping Deng. In 9th November 2008, he proposed and reported critical analysis about studies of pre-clinical efficacy of THL during the 8th International Conference on the Medical Treatment and Medicine.

Chulalongkorn Medicine and Medical Oncology, Associate Professor Dr. Narin Voravud came into contact with Chinese medicine in recent years, he said that now there are many ways to treat cancer, but they are costly, serious side effects, some patients become resistant and the efficacy of treatments became worse. Dr. Narin Voravud pointed out that Asian region has a long history of traditional medicine which can help in treating cancer, such as replacement therapy, no side effects, and low cost, which is another choice for the western drug-resistant patients.

Dr. Obitsu is regarded as the pioneer of comprehensive medicine for cancer treatment in Japan. He is the first doctor to treat patients with TXL in Japan. Dr. Obitsu thus incorporated TXL into his comprehensive medicine. His unique Japanese comprehensive medicine has become a significant complement to western cancer treatment.
